Sisters Don't Handle It The Same!

so last week my sister Amy posted about this adorable little mouse they caught and released, and even considered keeping for a fleeting second.
Well, We don't do things the same in the BURG!
Maddie started our day by running down stairs to tell me that Birdie (our female cat) had a mouse in her mouth and was sitting in the bathtub. Smart Cat! She always escapes to the bath tub when she gets a mouse... think maybe she knows it cant escape up the wall of the tub?
Well, I am not good with rodent removal and my brave husband was long gone, so I donned my shopping bags and kitchen tongs and set out on the task of removing the dead rodent!
YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK!
I used to hold them when they were alive and think oh they are so cute, but once they are dead, I get totally grossed out!
Needless to say, the mouse and kitchen tongs are on their way to the dump and the tub is sitting full with a nice soaking of bleach.

Signed Contract To Purchase Real Property

So far all is well with the house. We have a signed contract by the sellers to accept our offer. We are working on inspections/appraisals. I went to the town hall today to do my "due dilligence" as was requested by my very knowledgable realtor (Jim Nauwens), and all checked out! No landfills or condos will be popping up in our back yard! Yippee!! Everyone keep their fingers crossed everything works out, this is IT!

Everything DOES Happen For A Reason!

Let's back track a little here. About 4 or 5 months ago, we lost out on a beautiful 2000 square foot ranch with inground pool and 2 acres and I was seriously depressed... (see old posts).
WELL, we found the house that shows us why we didn't get the last one, we were meant to have this beautiful 2100 square foot center hall colonial on 1.85 acres, completely renovated with crown molding in every room (yes, Bobby O even approves).!! Didn't post anything until we had some news, and the news is GOOD....no GREAT!!!
OUR OFFER WAS ACCEPTED!!!! Now we just deal with appraisals, inspections and that little crap!

Baby Marnie Weekend!!!

so, this weekend Amy and John went into NYC for a little getaway... and we got our little Miss Marnie for the weekend. OMG has this kid changed. She is into everything, so curious and wants to move constantly. Needless to say I am exhausted, but Amy said if I didn't take pictures I could not have her baby again... so here they are....

We are started out meeting at the mall, 1st stop... a ride. she was unimpressed!

Then off to Johnny Rockets for some lunch and entertainment. Good lunch, crappy entertainment. Except looking across the table at these cuties.

Then Uncle Brian treated Marnie to a Pillow Pet - K & M have them, so marnie needed one too!

Now let me tell you, Miss M is not feeling well, she is getting a tooth and had a runny nose... does this look like a little girl who wants her picture taken?

12am and everyone is exhaused, Lord Help Us!

Sunday morning we went to Alice & Fred's for breakfast! Yummy!! Alice and Fred got their baby time in.......

Of course Kaelyn couldn't keep her hands off her.

So this morning when Kaelyn was asked if they go outside for recess when it is this cold out - her response was "it depends on the windshield factor". I think she might actually be Amy's daughter......

Snow Day #5 - I'm SOOOO Over It!

Our school district allotted 4 snow days for the 2010/2011 school year.... we are already on number 5, and probably looking at number 6 tomorrow.

What better to do on a snow day than make Fat Free Chocolate Cup Cakes.... RIGHT?

Congratulations to BY for being accepted to Shippensburg University. He will start classes in January!! We are very proud of you!

Can You Say BUSY at the Yearwood House?

So as a super-dooper surprise, Brian and I decided to move all the rooms around in our house in order to accomodate the girls having their OWN separate bedrooms. We started Saturday morning and finished Sunday evening around 5pm.. what a huge job it turned out to be.
Our master bedroom went temporarily into our dining room, the master bedroom became the office and playroom, the girls got their own rooms (the old office and playroom) and then we were left with the clean up!! Can I tell you we got rid of at least 25 things curbside (gotta love a free sign on your lawn!) and 10 contractor bags of "garbage". End result was great.

Brian and I went house hunting again this weekend and REALLY liked this 1800 square foot Bi-Level. Move in ready with a beautiful yard and area. We are doing some homework, but will probably put a bid in this week!! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

"We Got Our Baby" Weekend
