Can You Say BUSY at the Yearwood House?

So as a super-dooper surprise, Brian and I decided to move all the rooms around in our house in order to accomodate the girls having their OWN separate bedrooms. We started Saturday morning and finished Sunday evening around 5pm.. what a huge job it turned out to be.
Our master bedroom went temporarily into our dining room, the master bedroom became the office and playroom, the girls got their own rooms (the old office and playroom) and then we were left with the clean up!! Can I tell you we got rid of at least 25 things curbside (gotta love a free sign on your lawn!) and 10 contractor bags of "garbage". End result was great.
KAELYN WANTED A ZEBRA THEME

MADDIE WANTED A PUPPY DOG THEME
This is the "dog house", notice the stuffed
puppies everywhere...

Lorraine even made curtains and stamped
dog paw prints all over them.

The girls are thrilled........

"We Got Our Baby" Weekend

Sorry for the long lapse in between posts - I have not been in the mood... But what better to put you in the mood than that sweet little Miss Marnie! Brian, the girls and I got to watch her this weekend (for a whole 22 hours) and here are some pics we got.

Maddie Kept Marnie entertained during Kaelyn's soccer game

She LOVES Uncle Brian, and trust me the feeling is mutual!

Mad Mad in Goal!!

"I GOT YOUR NOSE UNCLE BRIAN"

2010 First Day Of School

7am wake up call - Both kids pretty much jump out of bed. Maddie takes a little more coaxing than Kaelyn... that's normal.
After a nice breakfast consisting of homemade waffles, bacon and OJ... they brushed their teeth, we fixed their hair and we were outside to take pictures.

Salon Day!

Wednesday we made our "day before school" trip to the mall..... Hair relaxer treatments, deep conditioning, trims (with long side bangs, ohh la la)..... 3 Hours later my girls emerged even more beautiful than when they walked in. Who knew it was possible?

Ouch!! Kaelyn has a very sensitive head, the brushing out is always an event!

Next.... The Easy Kid (with hair at least)

They LOVE going under the dryers!

Phew! It's over, and she loves it!

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!

Watch Out Beckham - Here Come Kaelyn & Maddie

Both girls have decided to take a stab at soccer this year....... we'll see how this works out! They are both super eager, and really seem to enjoy it!

"Coach Mike" is Kaelyn's Coach

Look how nice and straight Maddie's legs are.... go Mad!

I must say Kaelyn works her little butt off in Practice, I am a very proud Mommy!

Can you say CUTE?

OK, so from day one I have said Maddie's coach "Coach John" who is super nice, looks a LOT like Brett Favre, yesterday he shows up in a Jets shirt - Funny!

House Update

For anyone who DIDN'T already hear - our bid was not accpeted on the house....... Last weekend there was a moving sale and Brian and I thought we would go check it out and be nosy. BIG mistake - it was like going to a funeral, I literally cried in the driveway and we had to leave. It was my mourning process, I said my goodbye, and am moving on... will keep you updated if any other potentials come up!

Good Fortune!

While on vacation I put $.50 into a fortune machine.... you won't believe what it printed out. In case you can't read it the last line reads "You love a beautiful home and one of these days you will be in possession of one" OMG.
Final offer went in on the house today, will hopefully update with good news soon!

Maddie's Freaky Eyes

We took Maddie to the Opthamologist last week for a thorough eye exam in hope of diagnosing her recurring headaches. She was diagnosed with "lazy eye" and quite a severe case of it. She has to wear glasses now, and put drops in the good eye every night to dialate it so the weak eye has to work harder. The eye stays dialated all the time. Look how freaky this is!

Vacation

Last week was our summer vacation. Brian and I started it off with a overnight stay at the cabin upstate, we stopped at our favorite little diner on the way and Brian ordered the Monster Burger. I wouldn't normally waste your time telling you about our meal, but this burger was ridiculous!! It consisted of (in stacking order) grilled cheese sandwich, large beef patty, cheese, bacon, fried egg, lettuce, tomatoe and topped off with another grilled cheese sandwich. WOW!! and YES, he finished every bite!

Then we came home got the girls and headed to PA for a week away from home. First day trip was Penn's Caves. We took a boat tour through the caves and it came out onto beautiful Lake Nittney and then back through the caves, we got the routine tour.. you know stalagmites, stalagtites, colums, oxide.. blah blah blah. Fantastic Tour! Then we took a boat tour around the animal farm/sanctuary and saw bears, tons of huge deer and elk. Again, blah blah blah, a bear here a deer here, general animal farm stuff.
Here we are at the mouth of the cave. Maddie Hated it!

Next day my wonderful husband got up to make a full on breakfast... eggs, french toast, bacon.. Well, let me put it this way, we wound up with bacon and buttered toast. The condo we stayed out had a pathetically stocked kitchen and one frying pan and a bent spatula - no breakfast was to be made all week! Thanks for trying honey!

Wednesday was Hershey Park. Fun, but really overpriced! They should be ashamed of themselves, I don't think Mr. Hershey intended his park to be a rip-off like it has turned in to.
The girls volunteered to participate in a recyling show -

You would never know this was a kiddie ride by their faces, looks like its a real thriller, doesn't it!

Then Thursday we went to the World's largest General Store where the girls happened to run into President Obama.

Maddie wasn't thrilled - she voted for McCain!

Then Friday was the Sussex County Fair!

Fun Fun Fun - She was really up there!

All in all, a nice vacation. But I sure did enjoy my day of no children today..... Brian watched sports all day, and I went grocery shopping and listed some stuff on eBay... Ahhh, back to normal.
